Breach of Probation and Cause Disturbance

On Thursday at 5:32 p.m. Belleville Police responded to the area of Ritchie Street and Catharine Street, regarding a male causing a disturbance. The male was causing issues and trying to start fights with parents picking up their children. Police attended the area and located Ernest Haughton, 61, of no fixed address. Haughton was arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service, where he was charged with Breach of Probation and Cause Disturbance. The male was later released with a court date of December 29th.

City police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period responding to several incidents that ended peacefully with police intervention. Those incidents included five motor vehicle collisions, domestic disputes, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, family disputes, and calls to assist ambulance.
